OUR STORY
Pixel Blue College was founded with a simple vision: to create a space where passionate creatives could gain the skills, mentorship, and confidence needed to thrive in the digital arts industry.
For over 25 years, we’ve been helping students transform their creativity into careers in design, animation, audio production, and visual effects. What started as a small local college based in Edmonton, Alberta has grown into one of Western Canada’s top destinations for hands-on, industry-focused digital arts and media education.
At Pixel Blue, we believe education is more than lectures. It’s about mentorship, collaboration, and working on real-world projects that prepare students to step confidently into the industry.

EQUIPMENT & CAMPUS FACILITIES
At Pixel Blue College, we mirror real-world environments so students graduate ready to step directly into the industry. Our classrooms function as professional studio spaces where students train on industry-standard technology. Each workstation is a high-performance M4 Apple Mac equipped with, high-resolution displays, and the latest software across all programs.
Pixel Blue is located in Edmonton, Alberta on the 20th floor of the College Plaza Professional Building where students enjoy access to premium amenities including a fitness studio, indoor pool, café and lounge, private boardrooms, and AV-equipped spaces for critiques and screenings. Conveniences such as underground parking, secure bike storage, EV charging, and 24/7 security make for a seamless student experience.
Together, these resources create an inspiring, career-focused environment where students can grow their skills and prepare for success.

Build your creative foundation in visual storytelling, branding, typography, and digital photography. This program blends classic design principles with modern tools, preparing you for careers in print, digital media, and commercial photography.

4Turn sketches into moving stories. From character design and background art to frame-by-frame animation, this program teaches the fundamentals of drawing, storytelling, and production pipelines for animation studios, games, and other visual media.
